ABOUT THE ARTWORK
“It was a vast emptiness vastly filled, a nothing that found room for everything; room for grass, trees, shadowy distant hills, and far above them snow-peaks like a row of angular clouds riding the blue sky. I had lost a head and gained a world.” - Douglas Harding
Weirdly, Douglas Harding’s quote about meditation and consciousness reminded me of my experiences with insomnia. My inner world filled my quiet bedroom on a nightly basis. What seemed like a vast emptiness on the outside was filled with everything on the inside, eventually leading me to find myself and my own meditation practice.
This original painting is a part of my NIGHT LIFE collection.
