Baby’s First Outdoor Mural

It happened friends! After about three years and six murals, I got to paint my very first one outside! But of course, it was in the middle of winter…

First off I need to give massive thank yous to Sierra at Bo’s for taking a chance on me, to my dear friend Paige for all the help painting and for knowing me well enough to just show up since I would feel like too much of a burden to ask, and as always to Kait & Boom for the emotional support and warming me up every day when I came home.

While I’m really proud of what Bo’s and I came up with, I mostly wanted to use this post to say restaurant workers, and frankly anyone in service industries, deserves our kindness and empathy now more than ever.

Speaking just about my experience with Bo’s, they have such an amazing crew of friendly humans working behind the scenes to feed us through thick and thin. The absolute least we can do right now is be patient and compassionate if things take a while because of staffing issues, if prices increase because of supply issues, or just anything at all goes wrong after two f$cking years of the exhausting pandemic juggling act they’ve had to do.

I’m also gonna need some extra love on this because I am NOT a video guy and this timelapse was a giant pain in the a$$ to film and edit…
